Thesis 4: Production and logistics are constantly under our microscope

Just like everything else, we take responsibility seriously.

It's a big part of our daily work and we do it with the same attitude as our clothes.

Textile industry production is concentrated in Asia; we cannot deny it or completely avoid it.

However, we strive to make as many of our products as possible here in Europe.

In this way, we also strengthen the economic stability of our home market and ensure that expertise is preserved here as well.

The reliability and tendency to take action quickly and efficiently, which are associated with Finnishness, are and will remain our strengths.

Continuous improvement of the production and logistics chain and the development of ethical monitoring are both at the heart of the work.

At the same time, in addition to reducing the carbon footprint, quality and ethical principles will be uncompromisingly improved.

  • 35% OF TURNOVER FROM EUROPEAN PRODUCTION

Over the years, textile expertise has increasingly been concentrated in, for example, the Far East. Dimex's production is distributed in Estonia, Ukraine and Portugal, as well as in China and Pakistan. At its best, we help create new jobs and develop experts in areas where living standards are just beginning to rise. At the same time, it increases our responsibility to ensure that our subcontractors' employees are treated fairly and appropriately.

  • TAXES AND OTHER OBLIGATIONS ARE 100% TAKEN CARE OF

We are proud to be Finnish. We pay our taxes gladly, because we know that a functioning society is the lifeblood of our company's success. A satisfied, prosperous work community is created through cooperation between our company and society, and we want to contribute to that without compromise.

  • STANDARDS ALSO MATTER

There are various requirements for workwear. Many of them are also essential for safety. International standards do not define our work, but achieving them is a starting point so that we can confidently offer our products to any company, for any type of work, anywhere in the world.

”TYÖSSÄNI HIENOA ON SE, ETTÄ VOIN VAIKUTTAA NIIN VAATTEITAMME KÄYTTÄVIEN TYÖNTEKIJÖIDEN TURVALLISUUTEEN JA MUKAVUUTEEN, KUIN MYÖS TUOTTEITAMME VALMISTAVIEN HENKILÖIDEN TYÖOLOIHIN JA ASIANMUKAISEEN KOHTELUUN.”

RESPONSIBILITY IS AGILITY

Our delivery reliability and speed are not only beneficial to our customers. A supply chain that is as streamlined as possible reduces the need to stock huge quantities of products and ultimately also reduces waste. The goal is to produce nothing unnecessary and store nothing unnecessary.

Even the best of intentions don't always yield the best results. In 2022, we cleaned out our corner and donated over 2,000 unused, prime quality Dimex to Hope ry. Most of the clothes donated were jeans and children's clothes.

We listen and learn from our customers. All customer feedback is carefully reviewed, any issues are thoroughly addressed and resolved for the benefit of users and customers. We regularly collect feedback from retailers, occupational health and safety managers, suppliers and even spouses. And of course, from those directly doing the work on site. Based on this feedback, we constantly refine details, adopt good improvement suggestions, create new solutions to everyday challenges and map out more environmentally friendly ways to produce the world's best workwear.
