From Sylvester to the next.

Finland has been in recession for two years now. Many citizens are already anxiously waiting for the first glimmer of growth to appear. In the first days of 2014, economic forecasts do not promise much growth for this year either. The pace of construction is slow and the state coffers are currently empty, so there is hardly any extra money to stimulate the economy. Export-driven industry is expecting the euro to weaken and hopes for a 20 percent depreciation against the dollar. A healthy child plays and an adult dreams. However, the change in the value of the currency described above seems to be a utopia. That is, in a few sentences, the atmosphere in which we are starting the new year. And oh my, on top of that, there was a black Christmas and then a New Year. Not good news at all. On the other hand, the rockets were visible well when there was no snow to disrupt the initial flight. The sky was gloomy, and that's good because they know how to make it gloomy. Why isn't it measured with the Pisa study? I won't even try to answer it myself, but it would be fine. On the other hand, will we decide that the first light of growth flashed when the rockets exploded at the turn of the year?

Sales people are familiar with the term: 'New Year's Eve nightmare'. Almost like the 15th night that arrives with its nightmares. The calendar year is over, a new year is coming and when the celebrations fade away, we literally start from scratch again and head towards the next New Year's Eve and nightmare. Last year's achievements have been reset and consigned to history.

Two years of recession and we had our fourth year of growth in a row. We gained 52 new customers, which was also our goal. We went to the German trade fair to explore the possibilities of internationalization, and we received a large number of new contacts and requests for quotations. We launched several new models that can improve the occupational safety of Finns, and at the end of the year we studied our own actions and received encouraging news as feedback. Customers consider us a pioneer in the industry! Come on, this good news is worth spreading further and the most natural way to do that is to grow. Sylvester's night is not a nightmare to be polished for us, but just another night among others. Although we go to bed to the sound of fireworks. Note the word joy in that! It's not a loanword, so a real visionary linguist once lived here. (Fireworks = fireworks) Otherwise it would probably have been translated as fireworks?! And then they wouldn't even bother to perform the whole joy-sorrow fireworks. You can get an empty one without asking. In the coming year, we will also strive for growth with new ideas and fresh forces. And at least not to be gloomy about things we can't control, like the weather. And we can promise that we won't be gloomy about things we can control so much. We could even experience a few flashes of light before the next Sylvester's night.
