In the last days of July, about 20,000 lightning bolts flashed upstairs. It was so loud here that I wondered at night if the roof would give me another blanket. It didn't. The next day, we gathered up our bundles and sweaters and rushed to work to wonder what the password was for each device and later whether we could eat anything other than grilled sausage and new pots for dinner.

Autumn is also a time of upheaval in other areas. We live in exciting times. Pete and I sat in an evacuated office for a week in June while Dimex's office in Leppävirta was being renovated. It's good that the brand company now has a brand office. We'll read the final feedback on the new office from the faces of our guests.

We also did a little shopping in the summer, namely for the nationwide TV campaign for September. Now, the “worker’s clothing” advertisement has been shown in connection with rally broadcasts on MTV3max and in the PKM region on MTV3. I laughed when I got the answer several times in the spring “well, of course I’ve seen your advertisements” when I asked if the brand was familiar. The important thing was not to make a fuss, the advertisement had to strike a chord with people who don’t know Dimex yet (damn, what a great thing is missing from their lives..).

In the autumn, Dimex's marketing elves will also be busy preparing for next year. The to-do list includes renewing the catalogue and especially the website. The website must serve the customer and reflect the same humble, brazen attitude that we have with our collection and other activities. The catalogue focuses on the product itself and acute, precise information. The website may have a few bags more information, but few people enjoy aimless tinkering. We tinker with real purpose. Now we are building tools for those who buy clothes and for those who have chosen to work in this country wearing clothes. I discovered in the initial meeting of the project that I am not omniscient. We need help. What should be found on the website? What more and what is already too much? Now I need to be trained, just mail in the mailbox.

Welcome back to work, let's start figuring out what the job is this fall and with these hustle and bustle.
