My business partner is my wife Sirkka, who is responsible for finances, personnel and development projects. She is also the chairman of the board of Dimex. Our daughters Riitta and Tuire are also shareholders. Tuire has also worked as our key account manager for over six months now. What's more, my brother Timo founded Dimex in 1982, so we can say: this is a FINNISH FAMILY COMPANY.
In the current economic situation, competition is getting tougher. We all want to be in the game. That's good. There has always been competition and it has always been tougher. At least as long as I can remember. Will it ever go away when it always gets tougher - that is the question. In any case, it is good that there is competition. This way we get better products at a more competitive price. And on the other hand: COMPETITION IS FUN.
Dimex's main market is Finland. The products are designed primarily for Finns. Often our competitor is a Swedish company. There are big and great players in Sweden, and we are constantly competing with them. As such, a Finnish company must be competitive. That's what we have at Dimex. It's not worth buying a product just because it's a product of a Finnish company. On the other hand, isn't being Finnish a vice, at least in Finland? Hey Sweden. DON'T GIVE UP.
The first three months of the year have passed. You could say that the beginning of the year has been different than we imagined. It is difficult to predict what the situation will be like after the next three months. LIFE GOES ON. THAT IS SURE.
This is my last post for now. Someone else will continue in a week. BUT WHO?
Thank you. Wishing you a happy spring,
