What’s Happening Now?

Mitä Nyt Tapahtuu?

We all think about the economic situation from time to time. Every day we follow what kind of mood the market forces are in. Lately they’ve been in a bad mood. They fear things will get worse. A tip: the difference between an optimist and a pessimist is that an optimist has a good time between disappointments. Life has its ups and downs.

Dimex and Dimex employees have had a good year so far. What is a good year? The company's sales and operations have developed positively. Dimex employees' well-being at work is at a good level. This does not mean that we always have fun and things run smoothly. It is not always fun and there are problems. What would life be like without problems? Can it always be fun? First of all, it is not life. On the other hand, is it good to be in a discomfort zone sometimes? Does that lead to growth for the person, the work community and the company?

We focus on what we do ourselves. We try to do things as well as we possibly can. Maybe even a little better. We don’t focus on the state of the world economy. Constantly worrying about it doesn’t advance our operations one bit. It’s better to focus on the four Ts: style, safety, functionality and satisfaction. These words guide everything we do.

I do understand that if the economic situation deteriorates further from here, this time it won’t skip us either. Fortunately, we have strong foundations and a good vibe. Does the vibe help? I think it does. Over the years I’ve been asked: “What is the most demanding thing in entrepreneurship?” I’ve answered that it’s maintaining an enthusiastic atmosphere for yourself and the work community. Sometimes we’ve done worse at it, luckily sometimes better.
