How did you start 2014?
Towards the end of last year, people were assessing or guessing about 2014. What will it bring? We boldly estimate that 2014 will be a good year. As is usually the case in a family business, our feet were firmly on the ground, even though our heads were reaching for the clouds. In this world situation, it is difficult to see very far ahead. We just have to bravely travel forward. Focus on what we are doing and not worry about the future. Do the things we can influence. We all have enough of those.
How were the first four months of 2014?
It can be said that the first four months have been positive. At times, the situation in Ukraine in particular has caused fear. So far, the market situation has remained more stable than it has sometimes seemed. I believe that the work we are doing is still in the right direction and forward-looking. We know and are aware that customers are not dependent on us, but we are completely dependent on them. When the customer perspective disappears into the horizon, things start to “go from the glove”. Let’s try to keep the glove firmly in hand.
How will the next eight months of 2014 go?
Even writing this makes me a little "terrified". It would be better to give this assessment towards the end of December. By investing in good customer service, you can look at the rest of the year positively. Maintaining and developing it are key elements of our customer retention and growth. A positive view of the rest of the year leads us to act at the right pace. We can focus on what is essential, namely our own work. We continue on the route we have chosen. Sometimes we go into the woods on the way. That's okay. It's important to understand how to navigate the route again. So the assessment for the rest of the year is that it will be good. That's where it came from.
