At Dimex, our staff is very active and takes care of themselves. In both summer and winter, we exchange tips on different forms of exercise. The owners of Dimex have made sure that we have been able to try out some aerobics and Nia dance on behalf of the company.
The last and, in my opinion, the most challenging has been meditation.
I also dared to join in, even though I knew there was a chance I would have to go into the discomfort zone and get into strange positions. I dragged a blanket and pillow with me and thought that it would be easy to take a nap after a day of work, my head empty thanks to meditation, on the company's new floor.
What else! For a moment I thought the whole thing was a scam.
When the order came that I just had to focus on my breathing and keep my thoughts in that moment, my own thoughts started to cross paths with two more terrible things. I concentrated so much that my head started to hurt and my backside went numb.
It started to get really annoying! You have to train harder for this than running a marathon!!!
I, who like to juggle dozens of things at my fingertips and preferably at a really fast pace, stopped and woke up with the positive thought that this is my thing. This is what makes me stop every now and then.
Those of us who work in customer service in a very hectic environment should stop and calm our minds from time to time. This way we can always be with the customer in that very moment and any potential mistakes are completely minimized. I think we are already doing this well, but there is always room for improvement in everything.
Through this mental game, or meditation, I will certainly become a calmer and more serene customer service representative and coworker, at least the wish is sprouting in my head. So I warmly recommend putting your mind on a fitness regimen.
Next, I could start practicing mind reading, but I doubt that I can acquire that ability with any mantra, so I would like to ask you, dear customers, for feedback on our customer service. Both twigs and roses are welcome.
With positive thoughts!
