When I jump out from around the corner and shout "MISSION?",

you jump up from your chair and shout with a red head: “OUR CORE PURPOSE: TO CREATE CUSTOMER-CENTRIC SUPERIOR SOLUTIONS IN A MODERN AND INNOVATIVE WAY, COST-EFFECTIVELY, PRODUCING QUALITY AND ADDED VALUE, LOVING OUR LOVED ONES AND REMEMBERING TO ALSO OFFER ADDITIONAL SERVICE CONCEPTS” I let a moment pass before nodding in agreement. You can continue with your work. You know it by heart because it’s laminated on the wall of the café.

You sit there lost in thought, the dim light of the computer screen on your face. I sneak up behind with the client. I whisper something to him, give him a gentle nudge, and then I roar: “VISION!”

“OUR FUTURE IS: TO BE THE MARKET LEADING COMPANY AS A PROVIDER OF SUPERIOR SOLUTIONS AND ADDITIONAL SERVICE CONCEPTS”

Excellent.

No. Our strategy, or what we've been successful with, or what we're holding onto. How we'll be successful in the future and what we're aiming for. What can I do to make this happen and why would I even do that?

The theme for 2013 is enthusiasm. So, we, the owners, decided on January 1st that now all four of us are enthusiastic. Really. It's up to you. I could just as easily decide that I'm definitely not enthusiastic, but I and the people around me would have a much bleaker time. When you're enthusiastic, others may well roll their eyes and call you a fake enthusiast, but hey, everyone still has a better time. This is a gift you can give to your coworkers and yourself. Humans are holistic creatures, if we're stuck in one sector of life, the brakes are easier to apply in others. And I don't mean that we move forward with a robotic grin on our faces, forcing ourselves into a false emotional state, but that we think about what there is here that I could be enthusiastic about. It can usually be found with a little digging. That's what I would ask others to do in 2013. Let's remember that we have ups and downs, better moods, and days when I tap my toe on the threshold three times before my morning coffee, but the whole thing is what counts!

Our mission is to be the most active, professional and customer-centric player in the industry. We do proactive sales work, offer high-quality service, are a reliable partner and have the best people working for us. The vision is to be No. 1: Grow faster than the market, be the number one brand and the first choice of customers. Behind it are familiar values: responsibility, cooperation and salesability.

The strategy now aims for 2015, in the annual goal we aim for and measure the first steps. In the team goals we enable the realization of the annual goal and on a personal level we strive for team professionalism and the realization of the goals through our own daily actions.

I plan to let the enthusiasm show whenever it bubbles up just a little below the surface. I hope and believe that it will have a multiplier effect all the way to the implementation of the strategy.

Best,
