A good year 2012

In recent years we have adjusted, renewed and fine‑tuned our ways of working. We have looked more closely at where we are, where we would like to go and how we might try to get there. In this change we have learned to take more joy in our successes. As difficult as it feels to say, especially without adding a “but”, 2012 was a good year for us. For us Finns this is hard to say. What if the coming years don’t go well? There are many sayings, for example “tears follow great joy” and so on, that undermine success. I believe, however, that we must have the courage to rejoice in our successes and say it out loud. For us, it was the third good year in a row.

Have we had challenges and difficult times? We have, just like in life and working life in general. I can reveal that we’ve even had problems and tough moments. Those are part of life too. Maybe realising this gives an extra boost to what we do. Of course the global economic situation, and through that Finland’s, affects even Leppävirta. It doesn’t curve around us. In any case, it hasn’t gone into a nosedive like it did at the end of 2008. The situation has remained better. We’ve stubbornly and boldly focused on what we ourselves are doing. It’s easier to influence that than the world economy.

GOOD YEAR 2013

We have started building a good year 2013. We are starting from the premise that 2013 will be a good year. We have no reason or intention to be arrogant. There is no reason to assume that the economic situation in the world / in Finland will take off into a rapid upswing. This is a fact. Competition in our field is also tough. That’s part of a market economy. It’s a good thing. Our competitors do good work. There are great companies operating in the workwear sector in Finland. We have embarked on 2013 with enthusiasm and courage. We are even so bold that we say it out loud.

I’m sure that this year too will bring its share of challenges and there may also be problems here and there. It won’t always be pleasant. Sometimes in life we’re outside our comfort zone. I’m also sure that the new year will bring successes and, through them, joy. I’m particularly happy that in 2012 our occupational well-being remained at a good level. We have a real “let’s get things done” attitude. Keeping and developing that is especially important.

I’d like to thank our customers, partners and Dimex people for 2012. I wish everyone a GREAT New Year 2013.
