I asked the Dimex crew to describe one another. We did it sneakily and anonymously. We praised each other behind our backs for all we were worth. We’re now introducing our people on the website, team by team and by job role, with photos and descriptions written by their colleagues.
There are 23 of us. The average age is 39. Ten of us were born in the 80s, seven in the 70s, three in the 60s and three in the 50s.
We’ve already introduced the production team, the pattern makers, the sample seamstresses, the marketing director, the production manager and the sales team. Now it’s the board’s turn, made up of owners Jukka, Riitta and Tuire, and external members Sari and Pertti.
Jukka (with Dimex since 1986) pays attention to the staff and sees the big picture. He’s fair and precise, and never afraid to talk about difficult issues.
Tuire (with Dimex since 2008) is an enthusiastic idea machine – a real powerhouse. The click of high heels tells you Tuire has arrived. Inspiring and quick-witted.
Riitta (with Dimex since 2009) is strong-willed, calm and thoughtful. Lots of new ideas and gorgeous fluttery lashes. Creative.
Pertti (with Dimex since 2012) is an analyst who knows how to weigh things calmly. He looks at matters from many angles and then moves forward. Not easily spooked, convincing.
Sari (with Dimex since 2012) is full of ideas, energetic, empathetic, always stylish – a woman who has succeeded in business in many ways.
