Hämeen Sininauha ry started painting the café and service building at Ahvenisto. The City of Hämeenlinna and the TyönPaikka project are also involved in the cooperation. The work group taking part in the painting project will at the same time aim to complete the exterior painting module of the basic qualification in surface treatment for small houses. Arto Niemelä, a surface treatment teacher from Kk-Tavastia, visited the site; initial plans have been discussed and they look promising.
The VALO project offers people who are hard to employ a pathway closer to the open labour market or vocational training. The project helps with life management and is a channel for implementing the youth guarantee. The association’s various work and other activities are seen as learning environments. VALO is a way of thinking, doing and influencing through alternative teaching methods.
