I just realised I haven’t written a blog post in almost a year. I’ve apparently managed to lurk in the shadows while turns were being handed out :)
But now, have a read!
Four of us (me, Tuire, Anne and Petteri) went to the A+A fair in Düsseldorf. We’d been planning our own stand for a long time, but the timing never felt right. Over the past year, however, we’ve started getting regular enquiries from all over Europe, so we finally decided to take the plunge and hit the German fair. Our small but striking stand went up in Hall 5.
It was a great experience. An incredible number of workwear suppliers and tens of thousands of visitors. We got to talk about the workwear markets in several European countries, but we also picked up information from Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Canada and Brazil, among others. The Finnish workwear market holds its own very well in the competition. We can proudly say we’re in the top five in terms of development.
A big thank you to everyone who visited our stand! It was great to meet many familiar Finns as well. Even though we’re keen to test our wings a bit, our main market is and will remain Finland.
For four days we chattered away almost non-stop, and in the evenings we enjoyed Düsseldorf’s rainy weather. On the night between Friday and Saturday there was a group on the way home laughing hysterically at times. Hair a mess and feet screaming hosanna, but the feeling couldn’t be better! Now, time to get those quotes out!
