THESIS 3: OUR PRODUCT MUST FIRST AND FOREMOST PERFORM – ONLY THEN HELP REFORM

Workwear doesn’t follow fashion trends: it needs to function, last, and remain ultimately timeless.

That’s why at Dimex sustainability actions are a balancing act between all aspects of durability.

Our products need to do their job — the longer they last, the less often they need to be replaced.

We’re proud of the fact that there are practically no reclaims on our products.

Researching and focusing on the specific needs of our customers ensures that our products meet those needs right away and last longer in the conditions they’re built for.

Using the ecologically best and most advanced materials and production methods is important for us. That’s why we are constantly seeking new, more advanced solutions and making sure we put them into action.

Without compromise.

WE’RE PROUD THAT THERE ARE PRACTICALLY NO RECALLS ON OUR PRODUCTS.

SUSTAINABLE ECOLOGY

We never compromise on material durability and stay ahead by adopting new and innovative fibers. We’re also committed to increasing the use of recycled and organic materials in our range.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Materials can always be improved. We’re constantly making progress to create more flexible, durable, warmer, and cooler clothing. Worker wellbeing is central to our sustainability approach, and comfort boosts both performance and the longevity of a worker’s career.

REDUCING OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT THROUGHOUT OUR VALUE CHAIN

Carbon emission calculators are common these days, and we closely track our own production and product footprints. We also support and guide our subcontractors, as outlined by amfori BEPI, in their efforts to produce more sustainably. At the same time, we work hard to reduce emissions in our own operations.

THE FACT THAT WE ONLY MAKE PRODUCTS THAT WITHSTAND BOTH TIME AND WEAR ADDS PURPOSE TO THE WORK MY TEAM AND I DO. BY EXTENDING THE LIFESPAN OF THE INDIVIDUAL PRODUCT WE LOWER ITS EMISSION FOOTPRINT OVER ITS LIFECYCLE SIGNIFICANTLY.”

SUSTAINABILITY ENHANCES CONTINUITY

You don’t need to reinvent the wheel every season — well-designed, popular items stay in our collection indefinitely. Offering the same tried-and-true pants for over ten years is normal for us. Careful planning of production and keeping a focused selection helps reduce waste. The better we predict demand, the fewer unsold items we have sitting on shelves.

Dimex products last so long that they’re often worn out or passed down to the next generation of workers. That’s why you rarely see Dimex gear at flea markets or repurposed for crafts. We’re all about timelessness and making sure our clothes are used for their full lifespan. While we promote circularity and recycling, our ultimate goal is to create the world’s longest-lasting workwear — gear that never needs replacing.
